If you need a sweet little pick-me-up right now (for yourself or for friends and neighbors), here’s an easy, three-ingredient cookie recipe to make and share.

Ingredients:
• 2 cups butter, softened
• 1 cup dark brown sugar
• 4 cups flour, sifted
Optional: colored sugars or sprinkles

Directions:
—Preheat oven to 275°F.
—Cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.
—Gradually add flour and mix until blended.
—Turn dough out onto a lightly floured counter, knead gently, and roll to about ½-inch thickness.
—Cut cookies and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Add sugar before baking if you like. If you use sprinkles, like the hearts in the picture, add after baking while cookies are still warm.
—Bake for 20 minutes, or until cookies are just lightly golden.
