I am nuts for these bars! What’s a nut goodie bar you ask? These ones include a creamy maple-flavored middle portion sandwiched in between two layers of chocolate-butterscotch-peanut buttery goodness topped with peanuts. They are like a homemade, old-fashioned version of the popular nut goodie candy bar, which by the way, happens to hail from St. Paul!

These no-bake bars are pretty easy to throw together and make a big batch that is perfect for sharing which makes them a great treat to make at the holidays. My mom would make these bars each year and cut them into large squares to share with neighbors and friends on her treat trays. Thankfully, she’d reserve a portion for our family Christmas. I love having a bite of chocolate among all of the other cookies and bars my mom serves.

While there are other versions of this recipe online, this one includes butterscotch chips and crunchy peanut butter mixed into the chocolate layers. Trust me, you and everyone you give these to will be feeling very jolly as these nut goodie bars are so good!
