A next-level twist on a holiday cookie classic.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- 1 cup powdered sugar, divided
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, divided
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup toasted, chopped pecans
Method

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- 2)
Beat butter until creamy, add 1/2 cup powdered sugar,1/4 cup cocoa powder and vanilla until combined.
- 3)
Add cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, salt and as much of the 2 cups of flour your mixer can handle.
- 4)
Stir in the remainder of the flour and the chocolate chips and pecans.
- 5)
Use a cookie scoop to make one-inch balls.
- 6)
Bake 19 min on ungreased cookie sheet.

Let cool completely, then roll in the mixture of the remaining 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
