This blog started as a tribute to the amazing cooks in my family whose recipes I turn to over and over again when I cook for my own family and friends. I wanted a way to share these beloved recipes that have shown up throughout my life at family celebrations, holidays and other special occasions.
I’ve learned that people love “dishing” about their family’s special recipes and have an appetite for tried-and-true recipes from other passionate home cooks.
Today, I am honored to share cherished, family recipes and food traditions from all who let me, shining the light on their family-favorite dishes as well as their ancestors who were the first to bring them to the table. It’s a foodie version of “show and tell” that I call “Dish & Tell.”
I hope you will follow along as I cook alongside “Dish & Tellers” in their kitchens and as I unearth “lost” family recipes from old church cookbooks or my vast collection of vintage recipe boxes.
If you have a family recipe you’d like to share, please connect with me here or through social media. You can also check out the Dish & Tell club where we swap recipes on handwritten recipe cards. Think of this blog as a modern-day “church cookbook” featuring beloved, tried-and-true dishes, from my family to yours.
Bon appetit!
